About

Stacey W. Farmer MA, DMin, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Christ follower. My heart’s desire is to come alongside my clients with compassionate Christian counseling and excellence in psychological care.

After receiving a master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, I worked with Dr. Frank Minirth for over 16 years at the Minirth Clinic as a counselor. I deeply enjoy and have extensive experience helping clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, obsessions, grief, loss, anger, sense of self, relationships and spiritual issues.

Additionally, I am passionate about coming alongside people who have wounds from childhood that are affecting present day living. Because of this I pursued additional training in two areas. First, I received a Doctor of Ministry in Formational Counseling. Next, I became EMDR Certified (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

My husband and I are actively involved in a local non-denominational Bible Church. We have been proactive in our own recovery work, making me a strong advocate for those who are wanting to face pain and find hope, healing and connection. I frequently encourage clients to grow in self-care. For me self-care includes connection with God, family and friends, as well as sports, relaxing in the hammock and outdoor adventure, especially in the sunshine!

It would be my honor to come alongside you on your journey. If I can answer any questions or if you would like to schedule an appointment, please give me a call.
